oh dang it - this starts like a fairy tale and ends in a nightmare - you packed a lot into just 55 words ron...
ReplyDeleteThe message belies the method of telling the story giving it an edgy satirical bent. Very effective and affecting!
ReplyDeletewow. interesting tale~ vile deed, indeed!
ReplyDeleteThat is one complete tale. Sounding like a fairy tale but coming out to be altogether different.
ReplyDeleteWell, that was a twist right from the get-go.. well done
ReplyDeleteOuch... dark fairy tales I love.. and I cannot fathom why the constable could live happy after...
ReplyDeletewell thank goodness their deed was caught and they can be dealt with in justice....smiles....def nice intensity....
ReplyDeleteA dark sinister tale.
ReplyDeleteThe constable has a lot to live with after what he has seen!

ReplyDeleteWow, didn't see that coming. Not much happiness. The double-entendre plays well in this.
ReplyDeleteVery dark and complete tale, excellent write for 55.
ReplyDeletefrom Victoria's piece to this - I've fallen into the Twilight Zone! Bang up pen ~ M
ReplyDeleteFabulous playing with words and their meanings - and a brilliantly dark twist on the once upon a time - happily ever after meme.
